Quality policies & systems
AgVita Analytical is also an active member of the Australasian Soil and Plant Analysis Council (ASPAC). Laboratory accreditation provides formal recognition to competent laboratories, thus providing a ready means for customers to identify and select reliable testing, measurement and calibration services. To maintain this recognition, laboratories are re-evaluated regularly by the accreditation body to ensure their continued compliance with requirements, and to check that their standard of operation is being maintained. The laboratory is also required to participate in relevant proficiency testing programs between reassessments, as a further demonstration of technical competence.
Laboratory accreditation benefits laboratories by allowing them to determine whether they are performing their work correctly and to appropriate standards, and provides them with a benchmark for maintaining that competence. More information regarding AgVita Analytical competence can be viewed on the ASPAC website.
AgVita Analytical operates under a comprehensive quality system that covers all aspects of laboratory operations. This quality system is documented in the AgVita Analytical Quality System Manual. The quality system is designed to meet all quality standards set forth by the International Standards accrediting bodies.
We have designed the quality system to be flexible yet comprehensive enough to meet customer needs. ISO 9001 certification by an accredited certification body shows commitment to quality, customers, and a willingness to work towards improving efficiency. It demonstrates the existence of an effective quality management system that satisfies the rigours of an independent, external audit.
The principles upon which ISO 9001 is based include:
- Customer Focus
- Leadership
- Involvement of People
- Process Approach
- System Approach to Management
- Continual Improvement
- Factual Approach to Decision Making and
- Mutually Beneficial Supplier Relationship
